Thanks to the unique combination of the transport system that includes trains, chairlifts, ferries, buses and cycle buses, you won’t have to stick your key in the ignition of your car during your trip.
Ride your bike as long as you can, and if you ever run out of energy or the rain takes you by surprise, you can always return by train or cycle bus.
And if setting off on the routes from the place of your holiday accommodation is not enough for you, you can extend the range of routes with chairlifts, ferries, or why not take train or cycle bus and go as far as the Central Šumava.
After all, a solid transport infrastructure is the right key to cycling in the Lipno region.
Lipno cable car and bike
If you want to get up the hill without pedalling, a cable car will take you and your bike or pram to the top of Kramolín right from the ski square in Lipno nad Vltavou. The same applies from the other side of the Březovice valley.
By ferry across the Lipno River
Our routes also go across the lake on purpose. This new dimension of your cycling journey will not offer you many locations. You don't have to worry about the ferry ticket with the Lipno.pass, it's included in the price.
By train along the Devil's Streams
Discovering Lipno from the saddle of a bicycle is beautiful, but how about a ride along the route of the historical section of the "Lipenka" and thanks to the Lipno.pass with a bike for free.

Did you get stuck on the route because of a flat tyre or did your e-bike simply run out of juice? You’ll find technical assistance points on every route. Whether it’s a service point, outdoor tools point, charger or a place where cyclists are welcome and will happily help you. We recommend that you prepare properly for each route and take the basic essentials with you. If you have left a bidon, inner tube or glue at home, you’d better stop at one of the sports shops, such as Intersport in Lipno nad Vltavou or Sport Řezáč in Frymburk. Soon a new shuttle SOS service will be introduced, which will take you to the nearest service shop free of charge in the case of any troubles. We won’t let you down!

The routes are dotted with restaurants, cafés or food trucks offering the best quality and a wide selection of drinks or meals ranging from the traditional Czech recipes to the international cuisine. A break to enjoy delicacies from regional produce is a must, especially when it comes to those prepared for you at farmer’s markets. So, if you want “to go the whole hog”, treat yourself to at least one break!
